A suitable request has four foundations
The request identifies a real group of people or an organisation affected by the challenge, explains current practice, describes meaningful progress and names someone willing to own the work.
How applications are reviewed
Submissions are checked for completeness, eligibility, urgency, potential benefit, technology fit, readiness, risk, available capacity and alignment with a programme. Additional information may be requested before a decision.
What can happen after review
A request may be marked ineligible, declined with a reason, referred to another resource, held in the programme pipeline, invited to discovery or approved for delivery after funding and controls are confirmed.
What applicants should prepare
Applicants should be ready to explain the organisation, primary contact, affected people, challenge, current tools, connectivity, desired outcomes, urgency, budget or funding position and any relevant documents.
Support terms are decided before delivery
Ubuntu Gale does not currently publish a universal pricing or grant policy. Any cost-sharing, grant-funded or in-kind arrangement will be documented before work begins; applicants should not assume support is automatically free.
