Small-business support

Technology support tied to how the business actually works.

Support is designed for early-stage and micro businesses that need clearer digital foundations—not a complex transformation programme.

01Common needs

Where support may focus

Requests may involve a discoverable online presence, customer enquiries, sales and stock records, digital payments, appointment or order workflows, shared files, backup, account security, reporting or affordable automation.

02What an engagement produces

A practical foundation the owner can maintain

A typical supported engagement would produce a current-state assessment, prioritised action plan, configured tools, account and data ownership record, security basics, short operating guides and a follow-up review.

03Readiness

The business must participate in implementation

The owner or nominated staff member needs time to explain current work, make decisions, practise new workflows and take responsibility for accounts, passwords, costs and ongoing use.

04What is outside scope

Support is not a promise of sales or funding

Ubuntu Gale cannot guarantee revenue, customers, investment, grants, regulatory approval or the success of a chosen platform. Support will not include deceptive marketing, unsafe data collection or systems the business cannot reasonably sustain.

05Proposed pilot

Small Business Digital Foundations

The proposed first cohort targets thirty businesses in Gauteng and combines assessment, guided implementation, group learning and six-month adoption follow-up. It remains subject to funding and community validation.
