Resource library

Practical tools that help small organisations make safer technology decisions.

The first resources are being authored alongside programme design. Each publication will show its audience, version, review date, limitations and accessibility formats.

01Checklist / In development

Technology decision checklist

A pre-purchase checklist covering the user need, current process, total cost, connectivity, account ownership, data export, security, accessibility, training, support and exit. The checklist is designed to slow down avoidable procurement mistakes.

Who will use it? What work will change? What is the full three-year cost? Can data be exported? Who owns and supports the account?
02Guide / In development

Responsible data starter guide

A plain-language guide to purpose, data minimisation, consent, access, sharing, retention, deletion and incident response for small organisations.

03Template / Planned

Supplier handover checklist

A record of domains, accounts, repositories, credentials process, data exports, licences, documentation, known issues, renewal costs, support and intellectual property.

04Canvas / Planned

Digital sustainability canvas

A one-page tool for identifying the owner, ongoing cost, critical skills, support route, backup, security review, usage measure and exit path for a digital system.

05Publication standard

How resources become publishable

Drafts require a named owner, intended user, content review, accessibility check, version, publication date and next review date. Legal or security guidance will identify its limitations and reviewer.
