Ways a funder may contribute
Potential structures include a restricted programme grant, project grant, discovery grant, capability-building support, evaluation funding, matched in-kind contributions or multi-year core support.
What a responsible budget includes
Discovery, community participation, accessibility, delivery staff, specialist expertise, software or infrastructure, safeguarding, security, training, documentation, monitoring, evaluation, administration and responsible close-out.
Information available before commitment
Once the organisation is legally and operationally ready, controlled due diligence will include registration, governance, leadership, financial controls, banking confirmation, policies, programme design, budget, risks and reporting arrangements.
A grant remains connected to decisions and evidence
Reporting will cover activities, milestones, expenditure, variance, risks, outcomes, evidence, deviations and next-period decisions. Restricted funding use will remain distinguishable.
Where aligned funding is needed
The Small Business Digital Foundations pilot is seeking aligned funding. Community Technology Catalyst needs co-design and organisational-strengthening partners. Digital Skills in Practice remains in research and curriculum design.
